Our ESG Initiative & Sustainability
Protecting the Environment, One Project at a Time
We believe good engineering should also be green engineering.
At DLE, sustainability is embedded into how we design, build and operate — starting from our own headquarters, which is proudly certified Green Mark Platinum.
We integrate practical, high-impact environmental solutions across our projects, including:
Energy-Efficient Systems
- Use of LED lighting for reduced power consumption
- Motion sensors in offices, corridors and common areas to eliminate energy waste
- High-efficiency ACMV systems that improve IAQ while lowering energy usage
Resource-Efficient Engineering
- Water-saving sanitary fittings
- Smart controls that optimise building performance
- Lifecycle-focused M&E planning to reduce rework and material wastage
Digital Coordination That Reduces Carbon Footprint
Through BIM and digital modelling, we minimise clashes, avoid material overuse, and reduce site rework — lowering the environmental impact of every project.
Sustainable engineering isn’t a separate initiative — it’s part of how we build responsibly.
DLE is also proud to be part of several projects which obtained environmental awards:
Safety at the Heart of Everything We Do
We believe that every person deserves to return home safely.
Our safety culture is built on proactive training, disciplined supervision, and a commitment to do what’s right — even when it takes more time.
At DLE, safety is not a checklist. It’s a value we live out on every site, every day.
Our approach includes:
- Rigorous risk assessments and Safe Work Procedures
- Strong safety leadership across all levels
- Continuous toolbox meetings and refresher training
- MOM-compliant systems and industry best practices
- Dedicated HSEQ oversight with clear accountability
Safe teams build great projects.
Social: Our Commitment to Community Engagement
At DLE, we believe the work we do should improve lives — not only through the buildings we create, but through the people we serve.
We focus our giving through long-term community partnerships that enable us to make a deeper and more personal impact.
Back-to-School Initiative with Epworth Community Services
Every child deserves a hopeful start.
We collaborate with Epworth Community Services to provide “Back-to-School” support for children and youths — from school essentials to words of encouragement and mentorship.
Our staff volunteer their time to prepare school packs, interact with the students, and help ensure they feel seen, valued and confident stepping into a new school year.
“Volunteering showed me how meaningful & impactful it is when the children know someone is rooting for them!”

Engineering the Future — One Child at a Time
In June 2025, our team also partnered with Epworth to introduce youths to the world of engineering through a hands-on Engineering Careers Sharing session.
Students explored real-life applications of Electrical connections and participated in a fun and interactive Solar Grasshopper Competition.
The excitement and curiosity we saw reminded us why we do what we do:
to build not just buildings, but opportunities for the next generation.
Housing Refurbishment & Meal Distribution with Blessed Grace Social Services
We roll up our sleeves to improve living conditions for families in rental flats — from rewiring for safety to hands-on cleaning and painting.
We also volunteer in meal preparation and distribution, ensuring that vulnerable residents receive warm food and warm interactions.
Neighbours helping neighbours.
That’s the heart of our work.
